Met de 2big Network kunt u bestanden delen met Windows-, Mac- en Linux-gebruikers dankzij de SMP- en AFP-ondersteuning. Daarnaast kunt u verbinding maken op afstand via de FTP-, HTTP- en HTTPS-bestandssystemen. Selecteer gemakkelijk en snel uw RAID-modi met de handschakelaar aan de achterzijde van de drive. De hot-swappable schijflades maken zelfs onderhoud mogelijk zonder uw werkstroom te beïnvloeden: in RAID 1-modus kan een defecte schijf eenvoudig worden vervangen zonder de 2big Network uit te schakelen. Dankzij de Windows ADS-domeinondersteuning hoeft u bestaande gebruikers- en groepsaccounts binnen uw Windows-domein niet opnieuw aan te maken, waardoor de 2big Network eenvoudig door IT-beheerders kan worden beheerd. Dankzij de functie Wake-on-LAN kan de 2big Network eenvoudig vanaf de clientzijde terugschakelen naar de bedrijfsmodus. De 2big Network maakt het downloaden van grote bestanden eenvoudig met de geïntegreerde torrent-server. U hoeft zelfs uw computer niet ingeschakeld te houden. U kunt uw mediabestanden op uw 2big Network ook rechtstreeks afspelen op elk UPnP AV-compatibel apparaat of via een Digital Media Adapter (DMA), zoals een PS3 of Xbox.
